The methods we use and the reasons behind it.
The first focus in our dog training methods is to built a healthy relationship. It is the actual relationship between the dog and the owner that drives the behaviors. Just like human relations, it involves love, respect. and proper communication. By cultivating these ingredients, you strengthen the bond between you and your dog.
in addition, it is imperative we explain the dog’s mentality and coach the owner to be proactive. It is critical to shape the behavior you want your dog to learn. Moreover, we teach you how to read your dog’s body language and interpret all signals the proper way.
When we train your dog we use brain cognition, positive reinforcement and non-violent methods and techniques. More about brain cognition HERE.
How it works
Our dog training methods are modern and constantly updated. For that reason, we avoid punishment, intimidation or fear tactics which have been proved to be detrimental to the dog’s emotional state and learning ability. Best case, these will only create avoidance and teach your dog nothing. Our final goal is to help your dog become reliable without having to use training tools or to keep telling your dog what to do all the time .
Furthermore, we apply the laws of conditioning your dog to make positive associations and learn consequences for different behaviors. In other words, these techniques combined, help your dog understand the good behaviors.
As a result of using these training methods, your dog will love to adopt the appropriate behaviors. In addition, your dog will have fun and enjoy the training.
For example, using rewards like treats, toys, attention, praise, fun games will keep the training fun and stress-free for both of you.
Our position
We adhere to LIMA – least intrusive, minimally aversive methods and follow humane hierarchy procedures.
In other words, the use of intrusive dog training methods should be the last choice and only after all positive methods have failed. We use a set of positive humane effective tactics because they are more likely to succeed in achieving a training goal or a behavior change long term.

When training, we may use a combination of the following dog training methods:
- Holistic process. We use a natural approach taking into consideration the dog’s psychological and emotional needs, temperament, fear and stress level, likes or dislikes. Our goal is to keep the dog in a comfortable emotional state throughout the whole training period. Therefor, the learning process must be carried out without causing any fear or stress to the dog or his family.
- Cognitive engagement or Brain Cognition. Dogs learn best when they are able to understand and process all the information we are trying to give them.
- Positive reinforcement. What does it mean? The answer is simple. Dogs will repeat a behavior if that behavior is followed by a reward. Thus, they will associate that specific behavior with that reward or something positive.
- Behavior shaping. We encourage and reward the dog for every small step they make towards a final behavior. It is the best way to train a dog because they learn to think and understand what we want them to do.
- Clicker training. This method uses a device called “clicker” that makes a quick sharp noise. This sound will then signal the dog when a specific behavior is accomplished. This method can be used to shape new behaviors and add verbal commands.
- Model rival or mirror training. This method is based on the fact that dogs learn by observation. The dog will have a model of behavior or a rival to compete with for a desired resource. They will learn to mimic or copy behaviors. For example, the model can be a human or another dog or animal. See below: first – dog mirroring dog, second – dog mirroring human:
Just like humans, no dogs are alike. For that reason we customize each plan according to each dog. We will use only the most positive, humane, effective and scientifically sound dog training methods.
